The Gatherings

The summer is beginning, vacations, pools and no school are on the horizon. I would like to see us, as a church take the summer to connect with each other on a personal level. To do that, I would like to see us have several small fellowship gatherings over the course of the summer and call them “The Gatherings”. Below is an explanation of what The Gatherings are. **The gatherings are small groups of people that meet in various homes to promote relationship building and fellowship. **The gatherings are held in various homes once a month over the course of the summer. **The gatherings last 2 to 3 hours, (if they go longer that is up to the host.) **The gatherings can have all or some of these fellowship components; games, food, free time, but must provide an atmosphere inclined to fellowship. **The gatherings consist of host families and gatherers. **The host families open up their homes to the gatherers. They coordinate the food for the gathering. Food can range from finger foods, to ice cream, to a cook out. They are not to burden themselves in supplying the food but are to ask the gathers that are coming to bring items that will make up the meal. **The gatherers agree to come to the homes that are hosting the gatherings. Each month they will go to a different home, with a different group of people. They are responsible to attend and bring what ever the host needs in regards to food. This Sunday you will be given the opportunity to sign up for The Gatherings. So pray about if you would like to host one or if you would like to attend. The Gatherings will be: Sunday, June 28; Friday, July 31st; and Sunday, August 16. This will be a great way for us to connect with each other. Grace & Peace, Phillip Brande Senior Pastor
